Paul is certainly convinced of the love of God, and he experienced it many times during his life as I have. Look at the flower above. Can you count the petals including those not yet open? That's a very daunting task partly because some of the petals are still hidden from our view. Counting these petals gives me some idea of the love of God, but there is something to be said about the petals not yet visible. I don't believe God has shown us all His love at once, except at Calvary. All His love given at once would overwhelm us, and I also believe that God keeps some hidden so we can be sustained as we walk this Christian life. He continually renews in our eyes and hearts how He feels about us. God said He loves me. I believe that He loves me. That settles it for me. If you don't yet know Jesus, read John 3:16 to see how deeply God loves you, yes, YOU! Once you realize just how much He loves you, accept it. He will forgive all your sins, and I will get to know you in our eternal heavenly home.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (NIV)
