I've always liked this combination of Scripture and photograph because they seem to fit very well. The road heads right up toward the mountain. In this verse Micah was speaking of "the last days." Well, I intend to go up to the mountain of the Lord myself, and I am not waiting for any nation to go with me. Some say we are in the "last days" now, and that may be so. In any case, I don't intend to wait any more time. Now is the time to go up to the mountain of the Lord. I can do that any time I like by just calling His name, Jesus, and He welcomes me there. It's important that I spend time with Him there and not just hike up and come right back down. There are things I need to know and things He needs to tell me, so I can't be in a hurry. In order to be fully blessed, I need to spend time with Him in the Word and in prayer. Won't you join me on the mountain?
The Mountain of the Lord
"Many nations will come and say, 'Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths" (NIV).
