"Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts upon Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest." (NIV)
As the windmill is dead center in the picture and the one item sharpest in focus, so should Jesus be at the center and focus of our lives. After all, He committed His life at Calvary, for us; should we not at least focus on Him? The windmill is surrounded by lots of beauty, the sun setting behind the tree at the left, the colors and the shapes of the clouds. All of those items add to the beauty of the entire scene, but the windmill is the focus. The other items add to the beauty and help complete the picture. Jesus is the focus of our lives, but our membership in the Church that He created, the teaching we receive there, and the variety of the people we meet and come to love in our various churches add greatly to the blessings God bestows upon us.
Jesus Is the Focal Point
