Then God Said
This is one of my favorite photographs because it shows God's creative action in several items that stand out in the photograph, the blue sky, the bright white cloud, the oddly shaped pinnacle of "dry ground," and the interesting plant in the foreground. God indeed draws us, beckons us with His creation. Look around you and observe the many varieties of plants, animals, and landforms, and be astounded by His creation. Norma and I have been privileged to travel, camping style, across much of the United States, and we have been drawn to God through His creation in every state we have visited. In the well-know places like Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Grand Canyon we expect to see great scenery, but sometimes we can see it right in our back yard or close by. We just have to look for it. Thank you, Lord, for the greatness of your creation.
"And God said, 'Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.' So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault sky....And God said, 'Let the water under the sky be gathered in one place, and let dry ground appear'....Then God said, 'Let the land produce vegetation...'" (NIV)
