Work as Unto the Lord

This model of the globe was made for the 1965 World's Fair in New York City.  I'm certain the makers spent much time and effort to build it to be the best possible, and they did a great job.  My Lord asks me to do the same, whatever I do for Him, whether it be as a pastor, an accountant, a housewife, a plumber, or a singer.  If I love Him as much as I say I do, then I will do as He asks.  In fact, because of my love for Him, it is my desire to do my very  best, to apply myself diligently to the work assigned to me.  There is no small job in the Kingdom of God.  Each job is vital and is included in God's plan.  If I don't do what I am assigned to do to the best of my ability, it will not only reflect upon me, it will also reflect upon Him because I am know as a child of His.  Lord Jesus, help me to do my best, and please bless my efforts.

Colossians 3:23-24

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.  It is the Lord Christ you are serving." (NIV)
