This sign was by a chapel in a campground in Southern California. Sounds like what a church or chapel should be. We worship, laugh, and cry best with friends, especially friends in Christ. Wherever our place of worship is, we should endeavor to "build each other up." The verse quoted above implies that the Thessalonians were already building each other up, and I pray that those words would apply to any church I attend. It is my responsibility to do what I can to help my church accomplish that. Hey, it's your responsibility, too, so let's work together. To do so I must also be willing to allow my needs, my reasons for crying; my joys, my reasons for laughter; and my love for God, my reasons for worship to be visible to others. I need transparency with my friends in Christ, which is not easy, but important.
"So encourage each other, and build each other up, just as you are already doing." (NLT)
